ABOUT THE BAND

Blue Bird Band was founded in Kelowna in June of 2019 and is a small ensemble consisting of mainly guitar, violin, saxophone, and flute. The band consists of music-loving teens and is directed by Liwen Zhang, a guitarist with over 30 years of experience, and her husband Martin Ince, who has been singing in choirs and performing in bands for many years. The band can play a variety of genres, including classical, pop, jazz, and many more.  Blue Bird Band has performed at venues such as wineries and art galleries. The band looks forward to performing at a venue near you.
